Anouncment

Lovely loyal followrs of Tree Scans, I bring you news.

The current plan is this.  There will be 1 release of Baka to Boin in December (and more, if you're lucky - but 1 guaranteed to happen).  On top of that, there will be at least 8 chapters of release for our christmas/new years release (series to be determined).

Excited?

In other news, picking up Dynamite Beauty!!

Much love <3

AHHHH STAGNATIONNNNN

This lack of work has been killing me as much as it's been killing you guys. I've had photoshop for a while now, but no cleans or translations. But soon (read: within the next week or so), we'll have some releases.

Baka:
Kit needs a denoise tool for photoshop so he can properly clean some Baka, which he can't get, due to silly Uni anti-piracy/torrenting bull$#!*. As soon as Kit gets that tool, chapters will start to be pumped out again.

Yotsunoha:
Our translator is currently working on an entire volume (-1 chapter), which should be done some time in the next week. Easy to clean, easy to typeset, probably going to be our first release.

Sou:
Once Yotsunoha is back underway, we'll start putting out more Sou. Trust me, this is one of my favorites, I'll push the project singlehandedly if I have to. We should have Sou going at a rate of 1 ch/week.

A different translator is also working on Vulgar Ghost Daydream, which is quick to clean.

That's all for now. We could really use an editor who knows how to do redraws, so if you're interested in the position, please leave a comment!

~Acriman

Kit-edit:

Anyone who can find me a good working file for Topaz Denoise 3 (or above), and can dropbox it to me (slented@gmail.com), you'll be my hero and win 1 internet  ~  Also this won't be an issue after v03, because the next volumes have been scanned in high quality ~~

Update again

Aside from an impending release of Yotsunoha and Baka, (as well as a slightly later release of Sou), I am considering picking up a few more series, with our gain of a few new staff (to be announced on their first release).

Baka is likely in ~roughly a week, Yotsunoha is soon as well.

The new projects under consideration are:
Tekken Chinmi Gaiden
Teizokurei Daydream
Undead

We'll see what happens.  After new projects appear, we'll still lean heavily towards our current projects first before the new ones, so no worries~

Sleeping; Not Dead

Using a semicolon like a champ.  Anyhow, things have happened with school and all, and everyone's disappeared.  I have, however, found a new team of nerds who are up to the challenge of helping me get stuff done.  I also have my old nerds as well (<3) when they return from being in the middle of nowhere and the other side of the world.

Up next:  Baka to Boin (eta ~1-3 weeks) and some Soutennenshoku Otomegumi (eta ~3 weeks), as well as Yotsunoha (eta ~2-4 weeks)

So yeah, look forward to stuff.  Hiring all positions if anyone wants to help out, too.  Email me, Slented@gmail.com

Update

We are not dead.  We have not stopped scanlating Baka.

Currently our beloved typesetter is in Australia.  Since our group is mostly based out of Massachusetts, this is a bit unhelpful ~  So Baka is the next thing to come, then possibly some Yotsunoha, or more Baka.  Either way stuff will happen.

Thanks for your patience!

Release #1 - Soutennenshoku Otomegumi Chapter 6

Long title to this entry.

Anyway, the first release in the May release series.  Sou ch6.  At my school, I'm part of the yorimichi-bu, as well as the kitaku-bu, as Acriman can attest ~~

Anyhow, enjoy!

Next release is Baka, in the near future.  Be excited!

Because AP tests and all that stuff is over.  What does this boring announcement mean to you?  Releases!  In the next few weeks (before Memorial Day), there will be 1 chapter of Sou, and 4 chapters of Baka.

Excited much?  First release of this series of releases will be Chapter 6 of Sou.

Anime Boston

So Kit and I just spent our first day at Anime Boston, and it was an absolute blast. Saw a bunch of awesome cosplays, picked up some new manga, and dropped by a few panels. Hopefully we'll have a chance to check out the artist's alley tomorrow. If you're gonna be around the con tomorrow, drop me a note at acriman@aim.com, maybe we'll bump into each other :P

We were planning on getting some scan work done, but Kit is tired from the con and is being lazy (as usual), so no re-draws at the moment. I'll be wrapping up some typesetting work tonight, so once we get the cleans fully done, we should have some new releases in the next couple days.

Also, a friend of mine turned me onto this group, The Reign of Kindo, and I only recently rediscovered them. Considering how I mostly listen to electronic music and J-core, this is always a nice change in pace. Awesome stuff.

I'm not quite dead yet!

Surgery went well, nice metal plate and screws in my shoulder, a couple weeks in a sling, and a bit longer without any major physical activity... But typesetting is a go, just going to take a little longer than usual, since I'm workin with one hand :P

Be sure to keep an eye on the site, releases coming soon!

Surgery

Just an update, Baka would probably be out earlier, but our typesetter is having surgery for his collarbone.  (Yes, this is his typesetting collarbone!)

Good luck to acriman, hope all goes well.

Hint for all you guys, he loves cheese puffs and raw bacon, so be sure to send him a lot of that ~  If this post gets 10 comments, I'll leave you guys an address ;P

On that note, expect faster releases - for the meantime, at least.  We're still looking for an experienced editor!  Post here, or email me (slented@gmail.com) if interested.

Baka is probably next, and more Sou as well.

Also, a v2 of Yotsunoha ch1.

Soutennenshoku Otomegumi and Baka to Boin to be out before April, probably.  And probably a much better chance of keeping these more active, too.

Post here, or shoot me an email (slented@gmail.com), if you can help!  It'd be much appreciated ~

Yotsunoha Ch1

Finally, we bring you a new project, a 1-volume manga called Yotsunoha.  This is a joint with Gao-subs to start.

In this, a group of friends return after a few years to dig up a time capsule.  Check out the summary on Baka-Updates.

Mediafire

Last, but not least, a belated Happy B-day to Acriman (aka DJ Orca), our epic typesetter.

We are recruiting J->E translators and an experienced editor!  If you have any interest in a minimal-work position here, email me, slented@gmail.com, or post here.  Thanks!~

Next release is either Baka or Sou ~
